She then asks him what kind of car he drives instead of ignoring her question are busting on her for an obvious attempt to see if he has any money or power, thereby controlling the power in the conversation he simply answers her thereby giving her the power and since he has neither money or power she simply shuts him out. Now, feeling rejected and believing he has had no luck at the party after only dealing with one woman he simply waits with his friends till they are ready to leave the party.
